Remi Bader was invited by Victoria's Secret to test the Big Size Bikini

Victoria's Secret TikTok Artist Remi Bader Teams up to Test XXL Size Bikini Collection

The Victoria's Secret movement is getting more aggressive in order to prove itself that the brand is now supporting an inclusive movement. As part of that, they took Remi Bader, a model and TikTok artist who often voices the issue of inclusiveness in a humorous way, as of February 17, 2022.

The 26-year-old woman was appointed as an ambassador and consultant for the PINK collection, a fashion line under the Victoria's Secret flag. The collaboration has a mission to empower young women to be more empowered and to appreciate their bodies in a positive way (body positivity).

"To start with, I helped that mission come true by launching #PINKSwim XXL size," he wrote on his Instagram account @remibader, February 18, 2022.

PINK Swim is a bikini collection that initially only provided large sizes online. Bader joined to provide input as well as test various PINK products for owners of XXL-sized bodies, over the next year.

Quoted from the WWD page, Sunday (20/2/2022), Bader will also be involved in various promotional activities. Among them launched a curated series of his favorite PINK products.

She will also serve as a judge for the annual Pink With Purpose program. He will select 10 young people who will receive a grant worth US$25,000 to fund projects that support positive change in their communities and planet Earth.

He will also join the brand's mental health campaign while mentoring 250 representatives across the US. "I'm so grateful to be working with a brand that listens to my input and cares about making a difference," he continued.

In his personal Instagram account, Remi Bader recalls his experience 1.5 years ago when he often had trouble finding the right clothes every time there was a photo shoot. He went to the boutiques one by one, but none of them had a size 10 or 12.

"I remember desperately calling my dad and venting my frustrations about wishing I had a platform to talk about how unfair this is and be able to connect with people who feel the same way," she wrote.

A few months later, he made his wish come true via TikTok. Her rant about the lack of inclusivity in the fashion industry turned out to be life changing. He feels grateful to be able to help push the world in a more inclusive direction.

"Where people like me can be happier and more comfortable in their own bodies," she added, noting that her partnership with Victoria's Secret was just the beginning.

"We love how Remi uses her platform to push boundaries and make real change," said Amy Hauk, CEO of PINK.

He claims the label is always trying to improve itself and ensure consumers feel empowered and confident using their product range.

The partnership will begin by expanding the size range of the swimwear category to XXL and making it available in all their stores starting next month.

The transformation of Victoria's Secret from a lingerie brand that emphasizes a slim body to become more inclusive began in 2018.

Back then, their incomes continued to decline due to changing consumer tastes and the #MeToo movement. The public also criticized Victoria's Secret beauty standards because they were considered unreasonable.

Previously, Sofia Jirau first joined Victoria's Secret as the first model with Down syndrome. Together with 17 other women with Down syndrome, the 24-year-old model is promoting the brand's new collection "Love Cloud" which was released on Valentine's Day, Monday, February 14, 2022.

Citing CNN, the Love Cloud campaign was created to strengthen the brand's commitment to welcoming and celebrating the diversity of women. The collaboration appointed Anna Wintour's "right hand", Raul Martinez, as its new creative director.

Jirau started his career as a model in Puerto Rico in 2019. That same year, he launched a successful online fashion store, called Alavett, whose name means "I love it." For Jirau, being a Victoria's Secret advertising model is a dream come true.
